Rzeszów University of Technology which was established in 1951 as the Higher School of Engineering at first, now provides education within five different domains
- Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics
- Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Faculty of Chemistry
- Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering
- Faculty of Management and Marketing
and is the only school in Poland training pilots of civil aviation.
The aviation part of University focuses on following areas: aircraft engineering, avionics, aircraft control systems, aerodynamics, aircraft maintenance, aviation training (pilots education), flight safety and security.
