Institution description | Action Air is specialized in airborne geophysics and environment survey. We are currently acquiring and developing our own sensors. The sensor categories detailed later are: Magnetism and magnetic gradiometry, Transient domain electro magnetism, Gamma ray Spectrometry, Hyperpsectral spectrometry, Infrared spectrometry. Our new remote sensing department currently has a survey flight experience of 237,360 linear kilometres(lkm). Action Air operates a fleet of 14 aircraft, especially equipped and approved for airborne remote sensing. 14 aircraft equipped with a wide range of sensors: multispectral, hyperspectral, magnetic, electromagnetic (Time-domain), gamma ray. We invented and patented the whole new airborne electromagnetic sensor named TEMas. The French government itself supports this project. It granted it a FUI (Fond Unique Interministériel, Unique interministerial fund), which finances an important part of it. We gathered a consortium of experts in each necessary domain to develop this system. METIS (mixt research unit of University of Pierre and Marie Curie and the CNRS) and BRGM Bureau de Recherche Géologique et Minière, the French public geological organism) are taking care of geophysics, while two other companies are responsible of emission and reception electronics. We are in charge of the aerodynamic comportment of the system. We also made a partnership with Institut Fresnel (CNRS & Université St Jérôme), for hyperspectral imaging. |
