Institution description | EOLAB is a small company that was created in 2006 as spin-off of the University of Valencia by Doctors and Professors with large experience in remote sensing, mainly in atmospheric correction, radiative transfer modelling, retrieval of geo- biophysical parameters, calibration and validation of remote sensing products and agro-environmental studies from remote sensing data. EOLAB's mission is to transfer knowledge and provide service to users, while providing technical assistance for R&D and operational Earth Observation projects. EOLAB provides its expertise on remote sensing data processing, retrieval of geo-biophysical variables, processing line development and quality assessment of remote sensing products. EOLAB is working since 2006 in operational Earth Observation programs, such as Land-SAF or Copernicus Global Land Services, as well as precursors R&D projects funded by EC (FP6 VGT4Africa, FP7 Geoland2, IMAGINES) and cal/val projects from ESA (SEN3EXP, VALSE2). Our main activities are related to prototyping algorithms for retrieval of biophysical parameters (LAI, FAPAR, FVC, CWC, CCC) from optical remote sensing data, quality assessment of radiation (DSSF, Albedo, TOC_Reflectance) and biophysical products, field campaigns for cal/val and user interface for the uptake of remote sensing products. |
