The ISIS TC Calibration and Validation Workshop took place from 7 to 9 October 2015 at the Field Spectroscopy Facility at the University of Edinburgh. The objectives of the workshop were to establish a best/good practice framework for radiometric and spectral calibration and validation in support of spaceborne imaging spectroscopy missions. Funded by the IEEE, the workshop was co-organised by EUFAR's Standards and Protocols activity leader - Stefanie Holzwarth (DLR) as part of EUFAR's expert working group dedicated to calibration and validation. During her presentation at the workshop, Stefanie discussed EUFAR’s existing standards and protocols, and the review undertaken on existing standards and compatibility check. The work within EUFAR serves as a good starting point for the further discussions on good practices for radiometric and spectral calibration and validation in support of spaceborne imaging spectroscopy missions. A follow-on EUFAR EWG-workshop (Cal/Val) is planned with a special focus on airborne measurements for validation purposes.
