WP4: Operation and Logistics

This activity will start once the aircraft model has been selected in WP 3. Experienced aircraft operators will establish criteria for the selection of an aircraft operator and of a data management operator for the COPAL aircraft.

Objectives:

To designate the aircraft and the data management operator for the COPAL aircraft.

Description of work:

1. Selection of the COPAL aircraft operator
   After the establishment of the selection criteria for the aircraft operator, a call for proposals will be addressed to the COPAL and EUFAR consortia. Proposals, including costs for the aircraft operation, will be evaluated at the second Steering Committee and Governing Board meetings. Once the aircraft model selected, the Governing Board will decide on the aircraft operator. The offer for service as aircraft operator will be finalized by the selected operator to construct the COPAL Agreement section on aircraft operation.
    
2. Selection of the COPAL data management operator
   After the establishment of the selection criteria for the data management operator, a call for proposals will be addressed to the COPAL and EUFAR consortia. Proposals, including costs for the data management operation, will be evaluated at the second Steering Committee and Governing Board meetings. Once the aircraft model selected, the GB will decide on the data management operator. The offer for service as data management operator will be finalized by the selected operator to construct the COPAL Agreement section on data management operation.
