| Institution description | Since 1974 the Remote Sensing Department is part of the Faculty VI - Geography and Geosciences - at the University of Trier. The department works in close cooperation with the other geo- and bioscientific institutes. Teaching: Diploma, teacher's education and BSc/MSc courses in the environmental sciences, geography and geoinformatics Research: Hyper- and multispectral remote sensing, geoinformatics, dryland and land degradation research, forest research with satellite-based forest inventory, biophysical analysis of forest stand using airborne and spaceborne remote sensors and LiDAR, laboratory spectroscopy. |
